Allison began riding horses at the age of seven in Mesa, Arizona. She started out in the hunter ring but knew her calling was the jumper ring. She liked the need for speed in the competitive jumper ring. She started her jumper debut on La Clair De Lune and Pinata in the Children's Jumpers at the age of 12. She moved up in the jumper divisions quickly because of her success in the Children and Modified Junior Amateur jumper classes. At the age of 14, Allison's father decided to venture to Europe to get her some quality warmblood show horses. From that first trip he came back with Peggy Sue and Oramiro. Allison began competing on them in the Junior jumper division in Arizona and California with much success. After that trip he realized buying horses in Europe was the way to go, he returned to Europe consistently each year to find Allison new top warmbloods. When Allison was 15 she entered her first Grand Prix in Scottsdale, Arizona on one of her imported horses named Lancelot. She knew from that day that she wanted to strive to be at the top of the equestrian sport.
Since she was 16, Allison qualified for the Zone 8 North American Young Riders Championships. She competed in the Championships in the US and Canada, and in 2005 she earned the team silver medal. After graduating high school, Allison moved to Germany to further her riding knowledge. She lived there for three months riding her own horses along with other horses at the facility. She competed aboard her horses Omar Shariff and Atlantis placing in multiple classes. Allison and her horses came back to the US and shortly after their return they started competing in Grand Prixs around the US. In 2004, Allison piloted Omar Shariff to six Grand Prix wins, including the $60,000 Grand Prix of Denver.
In 2006, Allison purchased Nomograaf an eleven year old dutch warmblood. Allison and Nomograaf had a rocky start, but in 2007 they earned the alternate spot to represent the US in the 2007 World Cup Finals in Las Vegas, NV. As an alternate Allison was invited to compete in the Grand Prix at the World Cup Finals. In the fall of 2007, Allison and Nomograaf captured the win in the $50,000 World Cup Qualifier in Las Vegas, NV.
In the winter of 2008 Allison competed in Tucson and Scottsdale, Az with much success on Miss Hans, Nomograaf and Omar Shariff. Miss Hans won two of the eight $25,000 Grand Prixs and placed fifth or better eight weeks in a row. Nomograaf placed second behind Miss Hans and placed competitively in all the other Grand Prixs. Omar Shariff won the Grand Prix of Scottsdale with Nomograaf and Miss Hans placing behind him. In April, Allison was featured on the cover of the Horse Connection magazine. Later that year, Allison and her horses went to Pennsylvania and New Jersey to compete, there Omar Shariff won the $25,000 Grand Prix of Princeton.
